Corporate SustainabilityIn our daily activities CEVA Logistics strives to contribute to a better social climate and to reduce the environmental impact on communities around the globe. We are committed to policies and practices that promote sustainable development. Our clients increasingly need consistency of operations across the countries they operate in and expect us to deliver the same high level of service across the world. The implementation of international quality standards is an important step towards this end. Globally, we are accredited to the following standards: ISO 9001This accreditation confirms that we subscribe to a number of quality management principles, including customer focus, leadership and mutually beneficial supplier relationships. ISO 14001This accreditation confirms that we are committed to reducing the impact of our operations on the environment. We will go beyond what governments expect of us to minimize the impact our operations have on the environment. OHSAS 18001The health and safety of our employees is important to us and we seek to minimize the risks they face in these areas. SA 8000SA 8000 determines standards of social responsibility in areas such as health and safety, child labor, forced labor, freedom of association, discrimination, disciplinary practices, working hours, and compensation, as well as the management systems needed to meet them. We encourage the application of SA 8000 among our sites in countries that are not members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). This guarantees compliance with United Nations' universal labor standards. Investor In People (IIP)CEVA attracts skilled, motivated people, then gives them the opportunities to develop further. We use the Investors In People (IiP) standard, a recognized program for training and developing individuals to achieve business goals. With IiP accreditation in several countries, we are working toward full accreditation across our global business. The passion of our people and our investment in them means you get an empowered workforce committed to your success. In AustraliaWe're all aware of the real challenges climate change and population growth have placed on our environment; challenges shared by government, business and households - now and in the future. CEVA Australia is taking great strides forward to meet this challenge, as we look for ways to improve our energy efficiency while also reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. To help us achieve our goals, we have joined the 'Greenhouse Challenge Plus' program, a Federal Government initiative that partners Australian businesses to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas generation.
Through the 'Greenhouse Challenge Plus' program, we are using a unique On-line System for Comprehensive Activity Reporting (OSCAR), that is being used to make sure that we report, track and monitor our carbon footprint while at the same time identifying measurable savings. |
