Force Majeure Event - Rail Derailment - 20th August 2018

20 August 2018

Our rail provider, Pacific National, have advised that a derailment has occurred at Coonana WA (approximately 150 kms east of Kalgoorlie).

The mainline into WA has subsequently been closed and at this stage restoration of the line is unknown until a full assessment of the site has been conducted.

No vehicles currently in our care have been damaged or involved in the incident. This is a force majeure event and is out of CEVA's control.

At present, we're anticipating delays of up to 1 week on top of standard transit times for all freight travelling onto and out of WA.

This early advice is being provided to assist customers with planning for the possible flow on effects that may result from vehicles being delayed in transit.

We are actively managing the situation by communicating revised ETA’s where applicable and we will continue to do everything possible to minimise the inconvenience to our customers.

CEVA thanks you for your continued support and understanding.
