Re: Severe Weather Alert - North Queensland Flooding

1 February 2019

Update 05/02/2019:

The Townsville depot has re-opened with limited staff.

Please keep in mind the depot itself has not been directly affected by the floods, however, there is restricted access due to closures on the surrounding roads.

Update 04/02/2019:

Dear all,

Our Townsville depot remains closed today due to flooding around the area which is restricting access in and out of the depot. The closure of the depot will continue until it is safe to re-open and commence business as usual.

The flooding is also affecting areas around Mt Isa and Cloncurry where it is expected to see possible delays for up to a week until the water subsides.

This early advice is being provided to assist customers with planning for the inevitable flow on effects that will result from vehicles being delayed in transit.

We are actively managing the situation by communicating revised ETA’s where applicable and we will continue to do everything possible to minimise the inconvenience to our customers.

Please note this is a force majeure event and is out of CEVA's control.

Thank you for your support.

Yours sincerely

Dear all,

Due to severe weather conditions in North Queensland, our Townsville depot has closed today and will not re-open until it is safe to do so.

The heavy rainfall is expected to last over the next few days at 100-200mm per day.

There is a possibility for a tropical cyclone development in the Eastern Region due to a monsoon trough that extends across north Queensland and into the north-western Coral Sea.

Regardless of tropical cyclone development, severe weather and major flooding will remain a risk across northern Queensland.

This early advice is being provided to assist customers with planning for the inevitable flow on effects that will result from vehicles being delayed in transit.

We are actively managing the situation by communicating revised ETA’s where applicable and we will continue to do everything possible to minimise the inconvenience to our customers.

We will be reassessing the situation early Monday morning and will provide further updates accordingly.

Please note this is a force majeure event and is out of CEVA's control.

Thank you for your support.

Yours sincerely
