Disruption to Services - Northern Territory – Queensland, NSW & ACT, WA - Flooding

23 February 2026

10 March 2026

West– East – West Rail Lane

Our backlog of freight is clearing, and we are now looking at a reduction in transit times of approx 5 business days.

Into and Ex Northern Territory

Major flooding and heavy rainfall have caused widespread road closures across the Northern Territory, with key routes like the Stuart Highway, Tablelands Highway, Tanami Track, and Birdsville Track affected.

The Stuart Highway and Victoria Highway are closed. The Low Level Bridge in Katherine is closed and has sustained damaged with engineers now undertaking inspection. CEVA has trucks marshalled either side of Katherine ready to depart when it is safe to do so, however we are still working clearing freight from the previous closures. Not knowing when the roads will be re-opened, we can only provide a best guesstimate of approx. 6 business days extended transit days, noting that Katherine has again (today) received more rain on the already soaked landscape - (in excess of 110 ml).

Northern Queensland

We are still currently experiencing delays of approximately 3-7 business days as we clear the backlog of freight held up by the inclement weather.

04 March 2026

Ongoing flooding continues to impact parts of Queensland and the Northern Territory. As of 3 March,
minor to major flood warnings are active in catchments across western and north-eastern Queensland
and the Gulf Country, north-western and eastern parts of the Northern Territory and parts of the
Kimberley in Western Australia.

The forecast for the fortnight of 7th to 20th March, shows above average rainfall is likely across
northern Australia, with the highest chance of significant rainfall across northern parts of Western
Australia and the western half of the Northern Territory. For northern Western Australia and the
southern and central Northern Territory, the chance of this rainfall being unusually high exceeds 50%.

West – East – West – Flooding

The rail line has reopened East – West – East. As we work to clear the backlog of freight, we are
looking at delays up to 8 business days. These delays will shorten as volumes reduce.

Northern Territory – Queensland, NSW & ACT - Flooding

The QLD – NT corridor has re-opened and we are working with possible delays of approximately 3
business days. Again, as volumes reduce these delays will shorten.

Northern Queensland

Intermittent road closures in Northern Queensland continue to cause delays with adverse weather
conditions. Currently we are experiencing delays of approximately 3-7 business days, however there
is a tropical low forming off the coast which will bring additional rainfall with it, possibly closing roads
that have recently reopened.
