Ongoing delays are being experienced with trucks coming through Ayr due to flooding at Plantation creek, with 10 trucks being led through under police escort per hour. This is causing up to 3hr delays for trucks to get out of the Ayr area.
Roads north of Townsville are still closed at Ingham due to flooding. Run off from rain in the catchments out west is causing the flooding in this area. We are hoping this will improve tomorrow and roads will clear by the end of the week for trucks to start making their way up.
We appreciate your understanding as we continue to manage and clear the backlog of high volume in the Cairns/FNQLD region.

Queensland is bracing for more severe weather, with additional rainfall expected to exacerbate flooding conditions already affecting the region, particularly the towns of Tully and Ayr.
Roads are currently open to heavy vehicles only in Ayr, and long delays are being experienced as throughfare is being limited.
Multiple areas inland are closed with rivers peaking closing bridges. (Dotswood - Charters Towers, Greenvale, and Balyando.)
Roads north of Townsville are closed, with the Ollera creek bridge being worked on to allow heavy vehicle access. No advice at this time on when the bridge will be opened.
The NT to QLD corridor is closed at Winton and the Landsborough / Flinders Highways. Other locations in the area have also been affected.
Rain is continuing to fall heavily in these areas, and it is expected that roads will be closed for a further 3-4 days. CEVA has multiple trucks stabled awaiting road opening however if the roads are damaged due to the flood waters further delays may be experienced. Until the waters recede this is an unknown. Further updates will be provided as information comes to hand.

Conditions in NQLD have deteriorated over the weekend, where the area is still experiencing heavy rainfall, with flood waters not yet reaching their peak.
Roads inland, as well as north and south of Townsville are cut, with the Bruce highway being closed predominantly by damage to the Ollera Creek bridge and flash flooding at Cardwell / Ingham.
CEVA will be carrying out collections and deliveries locally in Cairns and Mackay (weather permitting), however customer collections/deliveries in the Townsville region will not be possible.
Understanding the deteriorating conditions, our staff in Townsville is currently working remotely until further notice. All customers will be kept updated of any changes to their bookings as we manage our logistics and the client expectation through this difficult time.
