Possible Delays to CEVA East – West – East Services

The rail service has been impacted by another bushfire this time in rural SA (Bates to Ooldea) on Saturday 9/11 which Pacific National has advised will cause significant delays to services.

After a rail inspection the line has been able to re-open and however, a further 2-3 days of freight delays is expected whilst the backlog is attempted to be worked through.

Pacific National has advised that their East-West-East network was closed overnight on 5th/6th November due to bushfires in the Ooldea WA area causing significant delays to a number of their services.

Though their network has re-opened, CEVA may experience delays as a result of rolling stock shortages due to trains being stabled and driver crews needing to be replaced.
Our East – West – East freight may potentially run up to 3 -4 business days late.
