Rail Network Delays – Derailment Ooldea SA

At approximately 03:15 hours Thursday (24/6) morning, Pacific National have advised a derailment at Ooldea (SA). Approximately 200 meters of track has been damaged.

 

At this stage, derailment site has now been cleared of all equipment and the mainline is forecasted to open today (29/6). We expect lengthy delays due to this derailment.

This advice is being provided to assist customers with planning for the inevitable flow on effects that will result from vehicles being delayed in transit.

 

As we are a multimodal service provider, we will continue to service between East to West via other means.  Only our rail services have been affected.

 

We will continue to do everything possible to minimise the inconvenience to our customers and will provide updated ETA’s to those affected.
